My #grapes impacted by #weather or #inflation?
Your today’s grapes come from different parts of the #world and as #Chile and #SouthAfrica finished their season, #Mexico stars sending #freshgrapes to #USA and other #markets. Mexico sent 133 #million pounds of grapes May 1-May 31th., 2022 vs. 66 million #pounds in #2023, as #cold #weather impacted #Caborca region, #Sonora, Mexico #November 2022 to #March 2023. Grapes did not have normal growth on the #vine delaying ability to send them to our tables! But do not worry, in few weeks you will have plenty as the vine “wakes up” and will send record #volumes as similar situation was experienced in 2019 with a late #harvest start which resulted in a record season in terms of volumes.
