#Asia had the largest share of the global cropland area in 2019 38%, followed by the #Americas 24%, #Europe 19%, #Africa 18% and #Oceania 2%. Nonetheless, there were differences in #CroplandExpansion in the different #regions during this period – Oceania and Africa both had rapid growth in cropland area (24% and 20%, respectively), while Asia had more moderate growth5%.
