For the 10-year period beginning with fiscal year 2024, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) projects total outlays for USDA Mandatory Farm Programs, Conservation Programs, and the Supplementaal Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) total approximately $1.5 trillion, an increase of nearly 65% or $559 billion from the score of the 2018 Farm Bill at enactment, and 10%, or $126 billion, higher than the May 2022 10-year baseline projections.
